My daughter wants to do a her science fair project on something having to do with the Hadron Collider? Any ideas? She functions at about 8/9th grade level. Thank you for any suggestions! Sincerely, Kim
The only thing I can think she could do at that level, is explain the basics of how it works, and build a simple electro-magnet to demonstrate the basic principle that causes the partical acceleration.
how in the H can you or your daughter comprehend that in so little time. even telling people what it is can cause tremendous questions. not to brag but I have a high IQ and its not easy to comprehend.
Unfortunately, high-energy physics isn't really the sort of thing that's well suited to 8th-grade science fairs. Are there any other things she's interested in?
Unless you have trillions of dollars then the only thing she really can do with the hadron collider is explain its concept.
