sales tax?

if your discount amount is $94.00 and you have to add 7% sales tax to that amount. how do you do that? can you show me step by step.

Answer #1

if a tax is single digit, then just multiply your whole number (94 in this case) by .07 If your tax (or any percent) is 2 digits, say, 17, you would multiply by .17 x 94

Answer #2

94 x 1.07 = 100.58…

uhm basically you get 7% = 7/100 = .07 of 94 and then add it to the amount… so 7% of 94 = 6.58 + 94

Answer #3

for every $1.00 tax is $0.07

now all you gotta do is add $0.07 94 times =]
