How do I get rid of my bi polar?

Answer #1

You can’t “get rid” of it - you simply learn coping methods and take a prescribed medication, if needed. Talk to your doctor.

Just like Colleen said. By seeing a doctor you will be able to find the right dose of medication that will make the mood swings more manageable. You will still notice them, but they will seem not as strong. Does anybody in your family is bi-polar?

Answer #5

Mood disorders are managed rather than cured. Some people with bipolar are able to manage it with lifestyle changes while others require medication.

I don’t understand this question, Bipolar runs deep in my family, my grandfather had it i think some of my cousins have it and i think my aunt has it, a friend of mine growing up had it as well,

The thing i don’t get is the question that was asked… Bipolar is not just something you can lose or get rid of, So i can only think one of two things. You are self diagnosing without really understanding what bipolar is, or two your folks did not explain what it really means too have it, and you are just trying too find a way out.

Answer #12

Sorry I can’t. My Facebook is disabled right now. :(

Answer #13

I am bi-polar and no you cant get rid of it…you have medicine and coping stradegies for it…

Answer #14

I have bi-polar disorder and I control mine with sunlight in the summer and tanning in the winter. I dont have to use any medications. You also have to learn to suppress the manic phase, it takes a little practice.
