Really Abnormal Menstral

I’m 16 year old and I’ve had my period since I was 13 years old. I’ve started to be sexually active when I was 14 years old and about a few months ago I’ve decided to go on birth control. So I got this Nuva Ring, a type of birth control that is inserted into the vagina and my prescriber told me not to use it until seven days after I start my period. When I used the Nuva Ring I’ve realized that alot of things about myself has changed. For example my weight, mood, and etc. but also… I’ve been getting mild head ache, cramping, and I’ve been feeling a little dizzy from time to time. I had the Nuva Ring in for about 5 days until it was removed during intercourse… and that’s when I decided not to use it again. But anyways… my main problem is that I’ve just got off my period about a week ago and I just start it again. My period is usually really heavy… chaning a super plus tampon every 2-3 hours. I just want to know… if this is normal. Am I loosing too much blood. Also… if the early period is caused by the Nuva Ring.

well not really sure about the whole nuva ring thing, but your suppose to chnage your tampon every 4-6 hours, and dont use super plus tampons no matter how heavy, it leaves fibers in your uteruos, and can dry out your vagina leaving sores…but i agree with your last comment check with your doctor for sure.

Hmm. Did you go back to your doctor or tell anyone about how the Nuva ring was making you feel? It might be a good idea to have your doctor check into it. Different things work for different people. Maybe you just need to be on a different type of birth control. And about loosing the blood. Ive been on my period for over 3 weeks now and ive been bleeding pretty heavy. and I cant really tell ive lost alot. But, again, talk it up with your doctor. Im sure its no big deal though. =)
