Quick, I seriously need advice!

So, I have a pet rat, and I think shes about ready to die! First of all, she refuses to eat, and she looks extremly tired. She hasn’t been walking much, and when she does, she has super slow movements. Also, she seems to be bleeding really badly from her vagina/butt area!! I honestly don’t know what to do, because my parents refuse to take her to a vet! Please help! :(

hi I had a pet rat that lived for 4 years.pet rats dont usually live for more than a year 2 at the most. they develope tumors. my pet rat named joey had labored breathing and moved very slowly too. he wasnt bleeding but I could tell he wasnt doing good/ I stayed home from work that day and held him he got a sudden spurt of energy and was gasping for air and died in my arms. unfortunatly rats have a very short life span. and if it is his or her time to go the best thing you can do for him or her is just to be there to hold em til they expire . I really dont think there is anything a vet can do forur rat. very sorry I feel your pain. hope I was a little bit helpful. Piper

Answer #4

if it is a girl it might be on it’s period///if you had another rat that died while you had that rat then I have a guinea pig and when his mate died he was the same way not eating and hardly walking so if your other rat died then get another rat soon or it WILL die of lonleyness or starvation and since the bleeding to IF it is a girl and her mate died both of these things can happen really hope this helps
