why do they put teachers who can barely speak English to teach us the important things?

Subjects we need in school like math, etc.?

Answer #1

i always asked myself that..like my junior high teacher couldn’t speak english good at all i wondered how she became a teacher

Answer #2

hmm i havent really had this problem the only teacher i had that didnt speak english to us was my spanish teacher and thats because it was her rule that in that class no english was to be heard but she knew perfect english lol the only case was in history wen my teacher spoke really fast english not understandable i transfered out figured i wouldnt pass if i stayed lol

Answer #3

I really do not know, I know that the Union of Teachers around where I live is an issue, also, they seem to not be able to higher better teachers. I don’t mean to put teachers into a hiearchal stance but it looks like that’s what I have to do.

My math teacher is a nice guy but he is just the worst at teaching and the only reason that they haven’t replaced him is because he’s part of a Union; not sure what this Union is but it doesn’t let him get fired. Also, since my school is financially unstable, they just can’t afford a better teacher so we have to stick with him for Algreba courses…

Answer #4

Yes, even i have experienced this. I think this is there in many places in the world. In some cases, though these teachers cannot speak proper English but they do have a in depth knowledge of the subject

Answer #5

because teachers are rare, good 1s are hard to come by and its all about supply and demand the demand is higher than the supply so the teachers who can’t speak well get the job

Answer #6

Apparently she didnt teach you to speak english WELL.

Answer #7

Because maybe they cannot find other teachers to actually teach the topics? I know that there is a huge shortage of teachers and I certainly wouldn’t even want to be one considering there are so many snotty, bratty kids, who have a right to swear at you and damage your dignity. That is also the problem in my country, in some places (and this is disturbing) teachers who molest children are even kept, because not having them means a whole school doesn’t get educated.

Answer #8

and apparently u jump to conclusions. shut up if u honestly have nothing good to say

Answer #9

A little bitter are we? I was pointing out the grammatical error. A little ironic in one complaining about another’s english. I suppose irony is above your head though?

Answer #10

well don’t jump to conclusions. people are on a computer or phone, we normally don’t proof read what we type. i happen to forget to put words in sentences all the time when im typing because i am thinking faster than i type so i forget words.

Answer #11

There’s a difference between spelling errors and missed out words, and someone who has no clue that ‘speak english good’ is very poorly worded and grammatically incorrect. I miss out words, I’ll put the wrong word in a sentence, those are usually pretty obvious. ‘Speak english good’, not so much. Ok, and this is driving me crazy, why do you like answers when people are having a discussion with you. I’m not objecting, just curious. It is a rather unique thing to do.
