How do you put your hair in a messy bun?

Get a rubber band (or a few) and just start in a pony tail and scrunch it all up into the rubber band until it’s a messy bun. Idk how else to explain it. lol, go youtube it, there’s bound to be a tutorial.

Here’s a video of a messy bun tutorial that I like to do with my hair: http://funadvice.com/r/16cjlin2bq9 There are a lot of ways to do a messy bun. What I learned from previously watching a ton of YouTube vids is that when you have layers, it gives a much “messier” effect because the hairs fall out while having no layers makes it appear more neat and tidy. :)

My method: I tip my head upside down and gather my hair up. I lift my head back up and tie it into a pony. Then I just twist it into a bun and secure it with either another hair tie or bobby pins. For it to give the messy effect - I loosen the bun up a bit, pick strands out and loosen the rest of my hair. Voila.
