What are your Pro's and Con's of Boarding/Private schools?

In a private school there are usually less students which means much more focused learning/teaching. It means that the teacher has time to pay attention to every child in the class. Depending on what country the school is in, it could mean a ‘better’ education. Though that is not the case with all private schools. The downside of a private school is the money factor. Everybody has money and it’s often a competition about who had the best holiday, who has the most expensive clothes, who’s house is bigger etc. Even primary aged children feel the need for designer clothes and iphones. I think the education part is good, the competition over money is bad. But you will get competition over things wherever you go. I’m not too sure about boarding schools on the other hand. I’d say that depending on the student it could be either a pro or a con to be away from family. It could distract you from your work, or let you become a better person. I think boarding schools make children grow up faster than normal-schooled children because they are separated from family and pulled out from their comfort zone. No matter what type of school though, there will always be pros and cons :/

i go to a private school, i think that you do get a better education, you get more time off than normal schools most of the time and you dont have to follow the governments rules. i do like it but all my friends live quite far away and travel quite a way to get to school every morning so its quite hard to meet up with them at the weekend and after school. hope this helped :)

Private/boarding schools: Generally there are less people, you do learn to be independent when being away from home.

Cons: Sometimes I believe that public schools, just give you a better indication of the messed up real world, which is what we need (my opinion).

The education isn’t necessarily better or worse, it depends on the school, not in which sector it is in.
