Should my boyfriend and I plan a pregnancy?

ok. so my boyfriend and i have been together for about 7 1/2 months now, and we’ve talked about having a kid. we both want to have 4 kids. i kinda want a kid now, but i’d rather wait until he gets out of the navy so that he is there for the child..but he wants one really bad. what do you think?

I would suggest waiting. It might not seem like it if you are young, but seven and a half months is an extremely short relationship.

Why is he in such a rush to have a baby if he isn’t even going to be around to spend time with it? That would not be fair to you or the baby. If he wants a baby right now, I would say that would be pretty selfish.

I think it would be in your best interest to wait. It is difficult to be a single mother, which is what you’ll be if he’s in the Navy. Also, it is important to make sure that he will be there for you and the child when you decide to have one. I dated a guy and wanted to have his baby, but after 6 years I finally realized he wasn’t the one. I am glad that I didn’t have a child with him because then I would be raising it myself. The best option would be to wait until he is out, until he proposes to you, and after you get married. That way you can be a family and he will be there for you and for his child. I hope this helps.
