Potty training boys.

My son is 2 years and 5 months old. He refuses to be potty trained. I’ve tried sitting him on our toilet and his little potty. I’ve tried letting him stand. I’ve even taken him outside to let him be one with nature. Nothing works!! I put his big boy underwear on him and he gets mad and pees in them. Does anyone have any advice to get him to want to potty?

Both of my boys were almost 4 till they were potty trained. They refused to use the potty before that so I finally gave up and about every month I would try again. Finally they decided to do it. My daughter however, was 19 months when she was trained. I’ve heard that girls are faster at training and they normally get done around 2 but boys aren’t till between 3 and 4. If he seems to be frustrated give up for about a month then try again.

Good luck

Most younger boys I have known aren’t into potty training until they are (or at least close to) three years old. I have, however, been hearing rave reviews about a DVD called “Potty Power”. I have ordered it on Ebay, and I will let you know what I think if you want.

Other techniques I have heard is to throw a couple Cheerios in the toilet and get him to “hit the targets”. Bribery also works… my brother and sister in law give my nephew a skittle for peeing and two for a poop.
