Yes. Poppy seeds will cause you to fail a drug test. But no-one is going to give you the benefit of the doubt.

So if your in a position that you may have to do a drug test, avoid poppy seeds. Also, vote for candidates who oppose the insane “war on drugs”.

On one of the pop science shows (Myth-busters) they ran tests and YES two poppy seed bagels or one poppy seed muffin or piece of cake shortly before a drug test will show up as a positive hit for opioids.

there are many tests in the military for drug testing…

we have had 3 people conduct a test…

1 person ate a piece of cake made with poppy seeds with poppy seed frosting

1 person ate a poppy seed bagel

1 person ate a poppy seed nutrition bar

all of them had different amounts of poppy seeds and all failed the drug test…now I am not saying you will fail…but if the test is looking for certain narcotics then you might
