ok so I wrote this poem for my best friend. Tell me what you think, it a free verse so there is no rhyme scheme

I’ll tell you something, Something abut life, Something I was taught But still learning

It’s that life is a sky filled with clouds Clouds of gray, mostly But every cloud still has that silver lining And when they past, the sun’s still shining

It’s about closing doors And locking them shut But never, no never Throwing away the key

It’s about taking a hit, And getting knocked down But always, yes always Standing right back up

It’s about closing your eyes When you don’t wanna see But never, no never Going completely blind

It’s about screaming everything So loud to the world And always, yes always Being heard

It’s about standing up And standing up tall But never, no never, Sitting to rest

It’s about accepting the lemons That get thrown at you But always, yes always, Making lemonade

It’s about taking two steps forward Than another three But never, no never, Taking a step back

It’s about throwing that nickel Onto the trolley tack And always, yes always Making a quarter out of it

It’s about faking a smile With sugar coated corners But never, no never, Letting someone know its deceit

It’s about going to a party Where you feel like the piñata But always, yes always Ending with the cake

But I’ll tell you something, dear friend, Something about life It’s never, no never Going to be easy

But here is a secret, And listen well You’ll always, yes always, Have somebody to help you
