Please help nocks me sick when she goes out.

May sound a little stupid this but here it goes. I work away every week from my wife and family and every week I miss them more and more. Its starting to depress me. But the worst part is when I go home at the weekend and my girl goes out with her mates it nocks me sick. I stay at home with my daughter why she goes out. She doesnt go out that often. But I dont feel like going anywhere when I come home. I just want to see my girl and my daughter. I cancel any invites incase she feels sad that shes not seen me. But if her friends invite her out she fells obliged that she will let them down. I know im rambling. But shes letting me down its hard not seeing your family all week. If I try and talk to her she says im being controlling. What should I do? Thanks in advance

I dont want her to sound like a bad person shes not she only goes out at most 1 a month maybe 2 times but at least she has a life at home being able to see friends. Maybee im being selfish. but my values are to put my wife and child before anyone else even myself maybee thats where im going wrong.

Sounds like either she has a grudge towards you and is being evasive, or she’s just being selfish. You’re her HUSBAND; you’re supposed to be the best and most permanent friends to be had. She’s worried about letting her friends down? Well, she’s letting down the most important one, the one who will always support her and be around for the rest of her life.

You being controlling? You’re not around most of the time. How is asking her to take time to be with you controlling?!

But, don’t approach her in the way I have in this message. You need to be tender and caring. Be a little (sad) emotional, even.

No. You are in the right. The family that you and your wife have made is the most important thing you have, and always should be. She should feel the same. Most likely, she did at one point.

It’s selfishness like this that’s destroying so many marriages. Don’t let it destroy yours.
