How can I show my brother I'm sorry for hitting him?

Please help me! I had a fight with my brother (I’m 16 and he’s 18). I wasn’t thinking and I hit him and now he doesn’t want to talk to me. I was saying sorry but he’s not talking. Help me! How can I make him know that I’m really sorry? Like doing something that can prove that?

Dear ivanus, Give your brother some time…you have already asked for his forgiveness now let him think about it for a while. I would suggest you make a call to a counsellor. When our frustration turns physical it is a warning sign. Saying it will never happen again doesn’t make it so. Speaking with someone knowledgeable about this can be very insightful. Sue…good luck

You have done the right thing in telling him that you were sorry. Admission is half of the issue. Asking for his forgiveness is the other. The key phrase is “I was wrong, please forgive me?” You two guys have too much behind you and too much ahead of you to be seperated by this. After you have asked him to please forgive you wait for his answer. If he donesn’t answer for a few seconds then say, Pleae let me know when you are ready to forgive me? Good Luck Gino

Its kinda of a way question. I mean forget the age factor but why did you hit him? Just say sorry, and he will get over it..just be careful he doesn’t hit you back.
