What does it mean if I don't get my period during a month every few months?

You’re still young, you probably haven’t been menstruating that long… and it can certainly be irregular. When this happens, it’s usually because our hormones are a bit out of whack. Mention it to the doctor the next time you’re there.

If its always happened, I wouldnt be too concerned. Some people are more regular than others, and its quite normal for some people to be a little iregular. What is more concerning is if you were perfectly regular and then this changes. Also, there are many factors influencing menstruation such as stress, illness, contraceptive pills, diet etc. I would definately talk to a doctor, both to be sure there isnt a more serious problem and to reassure yourself. But the chances of it being cancer are not that great so try to relax!

its natural.. i’m 17, last time i got my period was in June… before that it was 8 months late. in my case i’m gonna be seeing a doctor because i’ve been told i should… though it’s always better to double-check, right? ;)
