Why has my period changed suddenly?

okay I have had my period for over a year and they would come every 20 days(inbetween) for 8 days really heavy horrible cramps and headaches now all the sudden it came 10 days after for 4 days really light and not normal like consistancy and then I got it again but 7 days later they are about meduim light and I cant do anything horrible cramps and headaches why they change all the sudden any advice or suggestiong help me please!! :S ?

Since you have only been having your period for about a year now, your period is not regular yet. That is COMPLETELY normal. I have talked to a million adults that say “I get my period on the 24th of every months for five days exactly” which means its obviously VERY REGULAR, but then again they have been having them for a long time. I am 18 years old. I started my period for the first time in seventh grade and mine are STILL not regular. One way to regulate your period and to minimize the side effects is to go to your school health clinic (what i did) or to go to a planned parenthood nearby. (you dont have to be sexually active to go to those places) and ask them to put you on birth control. if you get on “the pill”, it will undoubtably regulate your period as far as frequency and severity is concerned. trust me. ive had to do it for the past year and a half, and i know exactly when to keep tampons in my purse and i always know 2 or 3 days before my period that its coming. good luck!
