why do people think that it depends on your race as to which music you like and listen to??

Its just a stereotype…stereotypes are everywhere and its just how we associate and view things or people before we get to know them.

It doesnt depend on your race. It is just a matter of exposure. Since people (in general) tend to be fond of things they have a lot of exposure to, and since different cultures tend to have different musical preferences, music tends to be associated with race/culture/location. That’s how we form stereotypes. Obviously there are always the people who break away from the norms.

Probably because in some music, Music is created because of race.. so if you look at it like that, and listen to music race inspired then you are probably a certain race.. if that makes any sense? Basically certain songs, or artists, just attract certain races.

Today music is much more open about race and religion, and focuses, more on the open mind, or how you dress.
