Like for example everybody says i gained weight but i see no change,but when i weigh myself i notice the numbers went up.
Because self perception is always clouded by expectations and false knowledge (things we've been told since we were young, that very well may not be true)....That's why self talk....and visualization of self (what we WANT to see ourselves as)...during medidation or even the first 10 minutes you go to bed.
Usually the changes are slow...when things happen slowly before our very eyes, we adjust to the changes so they aren't so noticeable. Naturally, someone you haven't seen in a month will be able to immediately see when you've lost 20 pounds.
