Why would blood be in someone's stool?

  Dear kwatu, If there is blood in the stool you must see a doctor. Blood "in" the stool indicates a problem. Blood on the stool while passing could be hemorrhoids. Even conditions such as IBS should never have blood in the stool unless there is a bigger problem. Food will change the colour of stool exspecially if the food is rid in colour. Sue..good luck

  IBS - Irritable bowel syndrom. Constipation, new foods will do it to you too.
