How can I get through these problems with my parents?

Ok so I am 13 and I have a 19 yr old brother. He seems to be the perfect child in my parents eyes. They are blind to what he actually does he drinks severly and has sex with so many different girls they think hes perfect. I just had a really big fight with my mom and I told her that I was so sorry I wasnt the perfect child. I dont think that she understands that she makes me feel like im not a good child to her. I know I was an accident and I feel like a mistake with my parents. Sometimes I just want to run away because I think they dont even care about me…please just give me some advice on how to get thru this

If I were you, I’d be civilized and just sit mum down, and give her the feeling talk. Tell her how you feel, don’t yell just maybe show her this question, as for your brother, nobody is perfect, and comparing yourself with him will only make you more upset. Be glad your you =]

bummer…well no one is perfect and I’m sorry that you feel inadequate. Your parents love you though, they do. As for your brother, his vices will bring about his downfall, but your parents will still love him as well, that just how it is. Try not to compare yourself to your brother, recognize the positive attributes in yourself build your validation around that.
