how do i tell my parents that i want to become a child actress?

Answer #1

Just tell them. They should support you in what you love. Maybe tell them by asking for acting and singing classes? You don’t have to sit them down and do the whole ‘Mum, Dad, I want to be a child actress.’ That’s a bit OTT. Just casually ask for acting lessons. Get involved with school productions and plays in your area. Join the Choir. But have fun, child actors are stressed kids. Always being told what to do- it’s not such a glamourous life.

Answer #2

If you really have the talent in stage performance and want to make it big, make your parents understand this and you can even try inviting your parents to one of your stage shows. Your parents might change their mind seeing your performance

Answer #3

Its hard just becoming that, its not only having the talent but getting discovered. I think that you can tell your perents what you wanna be, unless they have this big thing against things like that. Thr only problem I do think that they might see if the going everywhere when there is an audition, or having the fear of wasting too much money and stuff like that, but sometimes perents are willing to go an extra mile to make kids dresms come true. Dont be afraid of following your dreams, I never said you wint make it :) good luck.

Answer #4

but dont you think that they will think i am crazy? i mean no one in my family is a actress or a actor. so isn’t that odd?

Answer #5

I think that the fact that nowone in the family is like that will make them even more encouraged to help you out. I mean their daughter has talent! They are going to show that off and make it happen for her.

Answer #6

Well people mostly do that when their kids are almost like babies, but you still have time I guess.Just know what your getting yourself into and sorta expect your parents to say no and not believe in you but just work at it.
