Do tattoos hurt really bad?

Do tattoos hurt really bad? I want a panda on the back of my neck

Answer #1

I want a tattoo so bad im scared its gonna hurt and I have to hide it from my mommy

Answer #2

Yea. They hurt more in certain places than others.

Spine tattoos, tattoos that go under the arm and down the side/abs, other areas where there isn’t a lot of skin. These areas are going to hurt more than others.

Answer #3

Of course it hurts but it really depends where you get the tattoo. my friend got one one her neck and she said it didnt hurt as bad as she thought it would but everyones different.

Answer #4

honestly it depends on the person & their own pain tolerance for me it didnt hurt a bit but everyones different

  • if you do get a tattoo make sure you are passionate about it after all it will be with you for life *

Good Luck

Answer #5

It also varies on the type of panda.

I have six tattoos so I think I might know a little bit!I have cherries right behind my ear.the least painful I must say.I have a rosary bead chain on my ankle, just like nicloe richies that was my most painful by far!!really.I cried and shaked, therefore, the lines arn’t straight!!!I have two butterflies on either hip,not too bad.I had a chinese symbol on my wrist not sore at all.and finally I have three stars going from my neck to the middle of my back.it was painful but I think my tounge pircing was more painful.so,hope this helps you and word of advice.think carefully about the tattoo you want because getting it removed a few years later is more painful than any tattoo can be.

Answer #11

tattoo’s hurt a bit, as said above- it depends on your pain tolerance. I have a large tattoo on each of my shoulders, I had a normal conversation with my tattoo artist the whole time, including the shading with the single needle. you should be fine, afterwards and sometimes during the tattoo it feels like a really bad sunburn- depending on the design. the only place I wouldn’t get a tattoo again is the one on the middle of my chest- when the tattoo needle hit my solar plexis- it sent pretty bad vibrations throughout my entire chest cavity- it just felt really wierd- too weird for my tastes. but you will be ok, the worst part of the whole experience is not knowing what to expect. YOU’LL SURVIVE IT.

Answer #12

its going to hurt but its not soo bad you can’t stand it..it just depends on your pain threshold I got one on my ankle and thought it was going to kill, but it didn’t. my advice…don’t get any tattoo’s with shading on them..they hurt. and don’t get a tattoo unless your 100% sure you want one.

=)

I got a tattoo on the back of my leg right below my knee and it didn’t hurt very much. It’s more of an uncomfortable feeling. Like if you were to have a really bad sun burn and someone was scraping something against it over and over again. Just a raw feeling. But when it comes down to it.. it all depends on the person. I would think that the back of your neck would hurt more because your spine is there… but who knows.

Answer #14

Okay look… Simple formula for it: The bigger and more detailed, the more time you’re under the needle. The smaller, the less time. The longer your skin is getting chewed up by a tattoo machine, the more it’s going to hurt. As someone who has a portrait and two photo realistic pieces each the size of a dinner plate, those things hurt like a sack of motherfuckers about an hour into it. Two of them are right below my knee, and one is on my arm right beneath my shoulder. If you are getting a small and non detailed tattoo, then it won’t be that bad depending on the factor of the artist. If they are heavy handed, yes. If they are light handed, not as bad. There are some places that NEVER feel good, and get worse with time. The bendy spot in your arm opposite your elbow always sucks, as does behind your knee. As someone with between 40 - 45 hours worth of tattooing and about 18 pieces (being conservative considering one is a sleeve in progress) you can count on that I know what I am talking about.
