Can my height have anything to do with the pain in my legs?

Hey guys. So i am 16, and i am about 4feet 11inches tall. I was wondering , can the pain i get at night have to do with that? For as long as i can remember, i have had pains in my legs at night. I would wake up at like 12am screaming or crying when i was little, and i have kinda learned to cope with the pain. My parents always thought it was growing pain, but after about 10 years they got worried and took me to see our family dr. She told me i was lacking something, and that i should drink milk or Gatorade to make the pain go away (don’t always work now). The pain is sharp, it happens in random parts of my legs, usually between my foot and my knee, and some times it gets really bad. Is there any way that my shortness is caused by the pain in my legs? (Both my parents are average hight)

Answer #1

no, im 15 and im 5 feet even and i have no pain. your doctor said you were lacking something so it’s obviously from you lacking something, not your height.

Answer #2

I should refrase that, what i ment was, could my hight be caused by the pains in my legs, i have a normal sized toarso, just short legs

Answer #3

again, no. there are people shorter than you who don’t experience any pain. you were just born short and the pain is from lacking things, they have nothing to do with each other in that way.

Answer #6

Usually leg pain at night is an indication that you are lacking a certain salt in your body, such as magnesium or potassium. Get yourself a multivitamin that focuses on those two and eat more bananas and dark green leafy vegetables.

I doubt its your height. Okay question do you drink lots of pop or pop in general? Well I drink a fair amount of pop. Then later on I’d get pain in my leg sometimes arms. I couldn’t figure out why. I eat healthy. But then I thought hey pop rots your bones and I have low calcium ( I never started drinking milk until this year). Having low calcium weakens your bones which can cause pain alone but if you have something that rots your bones that is gonna hurt a lot more. I now can’t even drink pop it kills to much. If you think this could be a similar thing with you my advice would be drink milk and cut back on pop or even stop drinking it for a bit. If you don’t think it could be this then I think you should try to get lots of each food group every day. Normally when our body gives off pain it is the body’s way of letting us know something is wrong and that something has to be done. Wish you best of luck hope this helped a bit.
