Is there oxygen on the ocean planet?

Answer #1

Well, considering there is one oxygen atom for every molecule of water and an ocean is composed of water; I would assume yes.

Answer #2

It’s possible for an ocean or other body of water on any planet to be composed of liquids other than water, such as ammonia, hydrogen, hydrocarbon and other hydrogen compounds, sulfuric acid, and methane. Compounds like methane, of course, don’t contain oxygen, and it’s not necessary for any oceanic body or any atmosphere to have oxygen. But since your question says “THE ocean planet” I assume you have a specific one in mind?

Answer #3

i dont know thats how they called it…… but my question is the if a human was to be put there with a boat or something could he breath normaly ?… or would he need an astro’ suite?

Answer #4

oxygen that a human could breath ? ……..

Answer #5

theoretically it should be able to support life..but you’d have to be on the plannnet to find that out! ahha

Answer #6

Answer #7

lol obviesly… but i thought maybe scientists figured it oit or something

Answer #8

out*

Answer #9

naww they haven’t like its jsut been discussed, but wouldn’t be able figure it out for sure until we’ve actually on it

Answer #10

its possible but then again we dont know, even if theres “water” theres no saying its like the water there is on earth, so far they havent found oxygen on other planets that could sustain human life

Answer #11

Human lungs are adapted to absorb a very specific mixture of gases, in a specific way. Fish can breathe underwater, but humans can’t because our lungs are not adapted to absorbing oxygen from water. Through experiments, humans have been shown to be able to absorb fluorocarbons, meaning we aren’t completely limited to this atmosphere. But we could not survive in an ocean environment, at least not one with the oxygen content in the water that resembles our own.

Answer #12

yeah but understand that the planet isnt all full of water and no air at all, its like a never ending ocean , it still has a sky and clouds and sun n stuff
