Okay I need help losing weight

im 13 and I am over weight I am 160 pounds and I want to lose about 40. Before I have to go see all my friends again in about 2 to 3months. I dont want to be the chubby girl anymore. Any help or ideas?

Low carb diet! I’m doing it now and I’ve done it before and lost 11 pounds in a week. I read somewhere how someone lost 75 pounds in 3 months. If you stick to it and exercise at least 3 days a week, then you should make your goal. Google it and research it. Good luck.

what I do to get in shape is just run for 2 min the walk for 1 over and over and over until you’ve hit an amout of time that suits you (I usually do 30 min but when I feeling lazy ill do 15 min) then ill do squats and lunges and sit ups (remeber to only come up until you feel you belly pooch because you only want to be working the muscle and burning the fat not doing extra stuff that doesnt matter).

ok do a lot of v-ups and sit ups. do twenty everyday with at least 20 push ups. eat fist sized portions of food . only three portions. never make urself full or ull want to eat more l8ter. dont eat after eight. if you want to snack at night, eat grains or yogurt. oatmean and apples for breakfast is a good way to lose weight, because it is healthy and makes you feel fuller longer. drink one glass of water before every meal. at lunch, stay away from carbs. no spaghetti or pasta. salad or grilled(not fried) chicken with (ok this is ok if it is steamed in water with salt) steamed veggies. wheat sandwiches are good too. dinner you can eat anything but dont splurge and have ice cream only during the day. not after dinner thnx and dont try to binge or anything. just be healthy. good luck!!

The low carb diet is called “The Atkins Diet.” While I agree it is good at losing weight fast, it is no cure. When you stop doing it, you will gain weight back. How much all depends. It is highly advised against being used by anyone under 18. Younger people are still growing at a much faster rate then older people. The effects of the atkins diet on a young person can be extreme. It is NOT meant to be used for more then 6 months at a time. 6 on, 6 off.

Now on to the original posters predicament. 40 in 3 months is honestly a little out of range. You cant lose weight as quickly or as easily as you gain it. That’s just how it is. Period. 85% of weight loss is what you eat. Change what and how you eat and the pounds will start coming off as is, with little to no extra working out. Although a workout plan can never hurt. Instead of drinking soda or sugary, carbonated drinks, drink water or crystal light. Get outside and walk for 30 minutes. If you have a dog, take it for a walk with you. walk for 10, run for as long as you can (even if its for a minute) get your heart rate up, then walk. Then next day try to run for longer. Keep increasing the time you spend running and decrease the time you spend walking. Before you know it you’ll be running for 45 minutes non stop! It is NOT easy losing weight, and anyone who tells you other wise is a liar. Straight up.
