What nutrients make your nails grow quicker and healthier?

Like rockchick8 said, protein and vitamin C are essential. Other nutrients for healthy nails are calcium, zinc, iron, and vitamin B12. Flat thin nails are grown when there is a lack of B12 and nails become weak without calcium. White spots will grow on your nails if your body has a lack of zinc or iron. Be sure to drink water too because it provides moisture for your nails.

Believe it or not manicures can be good for the nails too, they can help you grow them stronger. Also if you use, or eat stuff with vitamin a A, B-complex, C,D,E. Also iron and calcium and fatty acids, and its also good for your hair too.

Folic acid works wonders in getting your nails to grow faster and stronger and then all your B vitamins make a huge difference. Like the top user pointed out, vitamin C can also help, but your vitamin B’s and vitamin E’s are better for getting your nails to grow. As for protein, you don’t really need too much of it, in the Western diet we get in too much of it, so don’t add more to it unless you are vegan or vegetarian.

i;m not sure what nutrients, so read the other answers, but i do know that you can buy strenghening nail polish, which i use and find really effective, and not very expensive. Look in boots or a beauty shop. :)

i forgot to say, also filing the ends of your nails helps, as it gets rid of the dead, broken parts at the ends of your nails.
