Is it normal to lose a lot of weight after having surgery?

I just had my gall bladder removed and I’m losing a lot of weight so I was just curious if the two instances were related.

Answer #1

Yes, losing or gaining weight is normal. Certain surgeries make you gain weight, and others make you lose weight. Nothing to freak out about.

Answer #2

Yep :) But if you lose too much you should probably get a check up to make sure everthing is okay :) I lost 10 pounds when I got my toncils out :P

Answer #3

Surgery has weight loss from blood loss or objects being removed and the body gets rid of alot of pounds sometimes everything will be fine.
