I simply find that term funny no offense to anyone that does use that term.
Kind of funny to hear a New Yorker using the term “WASH ROOM” instead of bathroom/restroom.

I knew this one darn it.
Watch the green mile, that’s wat the W.C. stands for on the restroom door
The outhouse.

The ones ive heard: The toilet, The lavatory, The John, The crapper, The restroom, The potty, The office, The business room.
I did not think there was a toilet in a powder room.
I don’t use it! I just call it bathroom! :P
I guess men like to call it their porcelain throne

“The Bog”
is probably the most common slang term in the UK.

Got great response on this one.
A few more.
facilities, commode, reading room
W.C. is an interesting one that has come full circle. Water Closet was originally the English word for a room with a flush toilet and was abbreviated W.C Even though the French rarely borrow words from other languages (to keep their language pure) this is one of the few cases where they use the English term W.C. The French continued to call a room with a toilet a W.C. long after W.C. and water closet fell out of favor in English. Keeping W.C. alive it was borrowed back into English.
Also, both “John” and “Crapper” come from the inventor of the toilet, John Crapper.
When I visited Scandinavia almost everyone spoke English but I quickly learned not to ask for a bathroom. At bars and restaurants I was informed that I could not take a bath there. I had to ask for a toilet.
lol
& bathroom
some spanish countries translate the word as “the Sanitary”
i like saying “the loo” or “the john” :) saying “the crapper” makes me laugh :P
