Name the frog

This frog is dead inside it’s own skin pupa and abarigan dig them from a dry lake bed for water. To survive. What is the name of this frog?

OK, I’m going to assume you mean Aboriginal. Which means the frog you’re looking for is in Australia…

I think it’s the Cyclorana australis. aka the Northern Snapping Frog or Giant Frog. It can form a cocoon of dead skin cells around their bodies when they are in the ground to limit water loss. It stores water in its bladder and in pockets under the skin and evaporation is reduced by a cocoon of shed skin.
