My son's girlfriend assaulted me!

My son’s girlfriend physically assaulted me and he still lives with her. We got into an argument literally “out of the blue” and she punched me down to the ground and didn’t stop hitting me until someone restrained her. I was walking away when she attacked me. Am I wrong for being distraught that my son is still living with her? He is 27, she is 33, and I am 50.

You have every right in the world to be upset. In all honesty, I would press charges on her. Maybe then your son will see that what she did was very serious. I don’t see how your son could possibly stay with her after she did something like that to you. You are his mother after all.

OMG!!! THAT SUCKS!!! ILL KILL THAT SON OF A DUCK!!! SHE HAD NO RIGHT TO DO that. TOTALLY PRESS CHARGES ON HER. BUT YEAH I AGREE DONT GET YOUR SON INTO THIS. YOU DONT WANT TO LOSE HIM. OMG!!!

Answer #3

well I think that she was wrong for hitting you like that what was the argument about? I think its normal for you to feel the way you do about your son still living with her. If I were him(im a girl btw) I would break up with her because NO ONE hits my mom.

Answer #4

I would be but I would also not want to put my son in the middle of this, he must love the both of you and neither one of you (gilfriend or mother) should have to put him in a situation that he has to choose. He may realize soon ( I hope) that people don’t do this to their boyfriends mother. What an a$$ she is for doing this, but don’t make your son make a choice or you will loose him too. Did he say anything to you about it? are you pressing charges?
