My hair is orange! How do I make it go blonde?
Im naturally a chocolaty brown colour, but I’ve died my hair darker, redder, daker with a purple tint etc in the last 2 years.. So when I decided to go blonde my hair wasn’t my natural colour, it was a redy brown. I’ve bleached my hair twice in the last two weeks and its now a light orange/strawberry blonde with my roots a white blonde. How do I make it go blonde without going to a salon? Would bleaching it again make it lighter or oranger? Or should I just use an ashy blonde die? I’m going to a wedding in 3 weeks and need it to look a normal colour, please help!!
I dont want to be white blonde or too light as im naturally quite olive skinned and I think I’d look stupid. would putting a normal blonde dye on my hair bring out the orange more or tone it down?
like I said before.. the orange is just some of your natural brown left in your hair. If you take all the brown out, you will have white hair. If you want to go blond… at this point, just dye it blond. Don’t bleach it again.
how blond are you trying to go?
the orange is because you still have pigment in your hair. if you want to go white, you will need to bleach again, maybe use a stronger bleach.
if you want to go blond, at this point, you should use a blond dye.
I had this problem, and this is why you should NEVER bleach your hair at home. I would’ve suggested before bleaching to slowly dye your hair lighter and lighter then bleach it. The reason why it’s the color now is due to the brassiness in your hair.
Anyways I would HIGHLY suggest going to salon. Bleaching it again would help I think, but it will really dammage your hair. Also don’t try to dye your hair dark again while your hair is like this!! It’ll turn grey/green like mine did!
