My friends moving away in 18 months

Today my best friend has told me shes moving to scotland which is a 8 hour drive away from me because I live in south of england. She said shes moving in 18 month I know it sounds like a long time but shes been my best friend for like 8 years and she is moving for definant .yes I have other friends but not as close as she is to me. I tell her everything and she tells me everything and I cant really do that with my other friends because there no way as close as me and her are. She really means the world to me and I dont want to lose her and I know it sounds stupid but I really think after she had moved I wont stay in contact much and that will really upset me. She only lives a couple of roads down from me and I always go to her house like everyday and when she moves I wont be able to go there anymore. What am I going to do without her? I really dont want to lose my best friend but im going to have to. Its like she will be as good as dead to me when she moves ,just a stupid memory of her.can someone help me to make the next couple of moths the best with her? And how can you forget about someone thats so important to you shes like my family?

Well this is going to be hard for the both of you I had the same problem with my boyfriend at the beginning of last year. You must make the effort to keep in touch with either phoning, texting, emailing or writing you are bound to keep in touch some how!! What I would do is every once in a while either she comes up to you or you go up to here for like a weekend or maybe in the holidays sometimes. These last few months are going to be difficult but try and spend as much time as possible with each other like sleepovers.bowling trips,camping weekends you get the idea but dont exclude your other friends as when she moves they will be the only ones you can talk to often face to face. good luck hope this helped :)
