Has anyone here lost their dad?
Has anyone here lost their dad? because my friend has lost her dad when she was 11 because he died from smoking and his birthday is coming up and she’s really upset. Any ideas what to say to her??
say to your friend that you are there for her and she can rely on you. it is difficult at a time like that on knowing what to say, just give her a huge hug and tell her that your thinking of her. x
I lost my dad to a heart attack when I was 10. It takes time to get over it.
There’s nothing you can really say to make things better for her, just be there and try to make those tough days a little easier on her by being a good friend.
I know what you are going through at the moment my friends dad died of cancer about 2 years ago and I always comfort her aswell. Like on the day I would let her and her family just have a day together and then when you next see her give her a big hug, mention that you are gunna always be there for her and do something fun with her like go swimming, shopping, cinema or something to take her mind off of things :) hope this helps. x
