My dog snores when she is awake and does ova stuff..

Is it natural for my 2 year old staffy 2 snore (even when she is wide awake) and constantly lick people, she runs round the house with her mouth shut and the tip off her tongue hangin out. She is really hyper, we no another dog (same breed) whos only a puppy and isnt half as hyper as my dog…will she calm down eventually??? `is it our fault shes hyper??? We do disipline her and walk her and everything but she wont calm down at all… What should we do???

are you breading her? my male dog was the same and we got him ‘DONE!’ AND HE HAS CALMED DOWN LOADS!!! he was sooo energetic!!! try getting her those rubber kongs or toys where you stuff food ort reat in there and that keeps them busy. or get a marrow bone from the arket and when thats finished with I stuff mine with cheese!! sounds normal about the snoring but if your worried just call the vets and ask them maybe get her checked to see if she has any breathing problems. my new puppy does the same with her tounge… the tip is always out. its cute!! othing to worry about thou, maye grow out of it! your dog just sounds like a hypo dog! I ahve the same! staff’s are strong dogs so can handle a lot of excersise!! try really knackering her out on walks, go jogin with her or bike rides with her, in the summer take her swimming. you dog is energetic so needs more exercise!!!

its fine for your dog to have a lot of energy but the snoring may mean the dog is stufy or may mean nothing. my aunt has a dog thats like that she snores all the time shes perfectly fine though. I wouldent worry to much.

good luckn with your dog tell me about it later

it is perfectly natural for this breed to be hyper. my friend has one that jumps and barks and runs constantly! she will probably calm down over tme, and sometimes it is just the dog’s personality. I wouldnt worry about it too much, but if it really becomes a nuissance, you could consult your local veterinarian fo calming techniques. = ]

Different lines have different energy levels…As someone above said, she’s still a youngster, so that also plays into the energy level.

She could probably do with some heavier excise like following a bike, or jogging…but that’s hard unless you already jog or bike. Maybe working with her in advanced obedience…or teaching her tricks, would burn some of that energy…”Learning” takes quite a lot of energy…and wears them down almost as good as chasing a ball…

Answer #5

If she snores when she’s awake it may indicate a breathing problem - I’d see the Vet.

Answer #6

staffys are high energy breeds… and she’s only 2… she’s still a baby.

Answer #7

its not your fault.your dog is just a hyper dog. When I got my dog he did the same thing but as he got older he stopped.

Answer #8

My 4 year old staffie snores constantly too. As for the energy, he/she WILL calm down. My advice for this breed though is to make sure he/she recieves lots of exercise, and training is a MUST. Since I’ve had my girl in obedience, the change is remarkable. This is a breed that is dying to learn new things and will absolutely LOVE training classes. It’s great for time together, adn for socialization of your dog as well, which is equally important. Especially considering the breed and the bad stigma that goes with them sometimes. Get him/her trained and put some good vibes out there for this awesome breed!!!
