My dog is eating grass and not eating his food

I got a puppy who use to enjoy his food but now not anymore, sometimes he miss meals like breakfast or dinner and it grass instead, and his stomach make funny sounds, I am worried because he is refusing to eat anything occasionally and just eat grass, not vomiting recently have occurred. What shall I do?

Grass is like fresh vegetable; maybe you let him eat too much meat and his stomach became upset or sick. Some kind of wild leaves or grass can be medicines for animals. But it’s better to take him to the vet.

Answer #2

Ditto to the above…take him in…he may just have worms, or ate something that didn’t agree with him (puppies do that)…and he’s just too young to get over it himself. The Vet might send him home with a wormer…or Flagyl to settle his tum…

Puppies need nutrition…so this not eating isn’t doing him any good at all…

Answer #3

Rule out worms, coccedia, and giardia ( by having your vet do a stool test) … and then change his food to something that is not full of hard to digest grains like corn and wheat and soy. They eat grass to get enzymes to digest stuff that shouldn’t be in dog food. or to provide fiber to push worms out. LA has enzymes, and easy to digest , slow cooked… best ingredients. Seems more money but they eat less, and you ‘ll have less vet bills.

Answer #4

Consult a vet. What hippiepeaceprincess said seems promising.
