How long do cats normally live?
Cats have a healthy lifespan of around 12-20 years. Depending on the quality of life and whether they are indoor or outdoor cats, their lifespans can be greatly affected. Most outdoor cats have a shorter lifespan due to the fact that they come in contact with more viruses, have a rougher life, cars, dogs, etc. If you have an indoor cat, keep an eye on obesity for a healthier lifestyle.
The common (mut) house cat will live between 12 and 20 years. To increase the odds of long life those kept indoors and vaccinated will fare better. They also tend to live longer if they are not declawed. Pure bred cats live less and those that are outdoor or partiallu outdoor do have shorter lifespans.
