Ok my head hurts trying to figure this out. Either way, the debate is between 17 and 18, and you're not 17 yet. For right now, it seems like you can only stay with your grandmother, if your parents give their permission. Your grandmother can petition for custody, but she'd better have a good reason. Or you can ask the court to be emancipated. Which means you'd be declaring yourself legally an adult, which means that the court isnt going to grant it unless you have a REALLY good reason for wanting to do so, and you can prove that you have a way to take care of yourself. Of course I am not a lawyer. It would be best to talk to one if you could. Otherwise, your next best option is call the cops up and ask them (I suggest calling more than one).
The legal drinking age in Missouri is 21, but at the age 18 you are considered an adult in the eyes of the law. You can leave your parents home at age 18, but it is always better to try to deal with your problems than to run from them. Just remember,,, your parents will not be around for the rest of your life. Like everything else in this world, they will pass away sooner than you expect,,,, then it will be too late for you to make amends.
Thanks. But, if you have a legal guardian to live with, in this case my grandma. Isn't the age that I can live elsewhere 16
