Could this be a minor head injury or caused by something completely different?
I got hit in the head wednesday by my nephew in like the temple to the point i blacked out for a few seconds and i felt sick to my stomach for a while after, I got a massive headache to the point i couldnt keep my eyes open, I also felt like in a fog, and i was dizzy all night and then periodically throughout the next day. On thursday the back of my head was slammed into the solid wooden part of my couch, instantly the nausia, massive headache, dizziness, light headedness, came back. also, my eyes have been like randomly trying to refocus especially on friday. i have had most of those conditions on and off since then. whenever i move/turn quickly im dizzy and even the littlest of things set off a bad headache….
uhm so I have no idea what it is or why it is happening, and because I have so much going on (but mainly because we cannot afford it) I havent gone to the doctors. Any ideas why this is happening or any advice on how to treat it or make it stop would be greatly appreciated.
Hon, this is called a concussion. Even though you only momentarily blacked out the severity of the rest of your symptoms warrants a doctor’s visit. The nausea, dizziness and headaches can take days to weeks to go away. If you don’t feel better soon I would encourage you to find a way to see a doctor.
if it is a concusion what are the doctors going to be able to do? besides tell me not to keep playing sports, is there any way they are actually going to be able to treat it? oh and is there anything seriously bad that can happen from doing physical activity while you have a concusion?
After a concussion your brain can swell making subsequent traumas more dangerous. You do not need to see a doctor for every concussion but ones that make you feel this bad for this long warrant a visit just to be safe.
okay thank you :)
