I am on Microsoft word and go to click off it and a box comes up saying "You cannot close Microsoft Word because a Dialog is active. Switch to Microsoft Word first then close the dialog" What does this mean? also it wont let me click on any of the tabs like "file, edit, insert, tools" either or any of the buttons exept for the minimize, maximize and the close button, and thats when the box shows up with the message. Also it wont allow me to type anything either in MS word. What is this and how do i sort it?
There may be an error in the program. To close Word go to Task Manager and click on End Task. If the same thing happens when you open use Word again, then something is wrong with Word. If that is the case then you could seek online troubleshooting or uninstall Word and reinstall Word.
it sounds like a bug caused the dialog to hide behind all other windows. if you have NAV, open it and look for the advanced options (preferences) to disable the office plug-in. then restart.
i suggest ctrl alt delete, and then try closing it that way, if not shut down your computer and load word again see if it works
