Does it matter whether you use shaving cream or soap when you shave your legs?

Well…I use shaving cream. It makes my legs soft :D and it makes it easier to shave, in my opinion. I can’t imagine using soap..when I use soap on my body in the shower and stuff, I get sort of squeaky and not smooth or anything..just like…hard to rub myself with my hands? (that sounded suggestive, but believe me m’dear, it wasn’t meant to be). Do you mean like, some special SHAVING SOAP?? Or just normal soap, like dove or something.

haha like connor said shaving cream works a lot better and i know exactly what he means by when you use soap it just doesn’t make you as smooth haha. But yes I would recommend that you use shaving cream. Though my friend likes to use her hair conditionar but shes a little odd. (:

Hair conditioner? That sounds strange….but it also sounds like it would work :D …but…I’m not sure I’d want my legs to smell like my hair D:

haha yes it is a little bit strange but I guess it could work if you didn’t having shaving cream at the time, and I agree I would not want my legs to smell like hair either (:

Honestly I just use soap, it does the same thing for me as shaving cream and it’s like half the price.

I think soap is fine. Shaving cream is obviously the best choice out of anything, but honestly, I think soap has the same effect for most of the time. Especially if you get a lathering soap like a body wash. Hair conditioner is another choice. I’ve used it many times before when I’ve run out of shaving cream and it does the job. And supposedly it’s supposed to have a closer shave. Anything that lathers nicely would be a fine substitute for shaving cream.
