Would you ever get married, just to please your parents?

Definitely not, marriage is my choise not theirs, it’s for me not them. I would be the one having to live with that person, my parents won’t be a determining factor in marriage for me.

Me personally no, but I know people who have dated people their parents chose for them(I know it’s not the same as marrying them but it’s the same idea)

I could probably consider it, but I would never get married to please anyone, even my parents. I would eventually be miserable halfway into the marriage.

In all honesty, I’m not sure. I’d like to think that my parents would never expect that from me, you know? If it came down to it, though, I think I’d consider their opinion and see how I feel. At the end of the day, I couldn’t see myself marrying someone I didn’t love or want to spend my life with. It wouldn’t be fair to me nor the other person. I’d be extremely happy if they accepted my opinion and person I want to marry, though.

i don’t think i would. I mean i love my mom but its my life and I’m gonna make my own choices whether she agrees or not.

No. I would talk to them about it, but I would not marry someone bcuz they want me to. Marrying someone is me going to be committed to them forever. If I didnt want that, if I wasnt gonna love them for the rest of my life, if it werent God’s plan for my life, I wouldnt do it. If tho, I felt that it was God’s plan for me, I would do it.
