Me and Chris got married yesterday afternoon finally, but i forgot to ask the notary how to legally change my name to take his.
As a sensitive new age guy I'll point out that you don't have to change your name. Even if you go by your husband's family name you can still keep your family name as your legal last name. Your husband can even decide to change his last name to your family name. Remember the movie "On Golden Pond?" In it the husband changed his last name to his wife's family name Thayer since it was rare.
Just take your marriage certificate to the bank, DMV, or apply online (you may need to send a copy of your certificate)...changing the name is actually quite easy
Lol, thanks. I wouldn't have married him though if i didn't feel it would last and was already planning "just in case".
Congratulation!!!! well, Some women, mostly celebrities do not change theri name just in case....
take your marriage certificate and driver license to the dnv.................
This applies to your SSN and all other identifications
quit quoting the movies this is real life........
