How long can a human last not going to the washroom before getting sick or like, having their bladder burst or something?

This has been bugging me for weeks but I kept forgetting to ask D:

Answer #1

unusally question, well i have a story from when i was on yr 8 camp we went hickin and only had “bush” totiets and there was this girl that held in and didnt go to the toliet then she got really sick after 5 days and starting going this were pale colour and had to go to the hospital and have her poo sergically removed

Answer #2

I dont know if your bladder would actually rupture, i think you would more likely have urine actually moving back up to your kidneys (which would most likely make you sick) , or you would wet yourself. I dont know how long that would take but it vary from person to person as different peoples bladders are different sizes, and it would also depend on how much liquid they drink, their kidney function, electrolyte concentration and levels of certain hormones.

Answer #3

Alright. I always thought that you would like, wet yourself before anything happened, but I was just wondering about that :) thanks!

Answer #4

D: Wow…that’s awful!! I was actually talking about like, pee :P But thanks D: that’s absolutely terrible! Was she okay after?!?!

Answer #5

I heard your bladder burts after 3 days of not useing the bathroom. But that’s just what I heard.

Answer #6

Ouch…I was in the car today and I couldn’t even last four hours D: I can’t imagine THREE WHOLE DAYS!!!

Answer #7

I’m not to good with waiting to go to the bathroom either. One of my friends sometimes will go a day without going to the bathroom though.

Answer #8

That’s probably not good for them :S I would definitely just like, die.

Answer #9

And she’s supose to be the smart person out of our little group of friends. Lol

Answer #10

Haha X3 well if it doesn’t bother her then maybe it’s fine. :P I dunno!

Answer #11

Ya she’s fine with it. Whenever she stays the night at my house I’ll ask her if she has to go to the bathroom and she just says nope. But I did hit her in the head with the bathroom door once, but I didn’t mean to. Lol

Answer #12

D: lol!! I always get locked in my bathroom >.> once I got locked in at night when the power was out..it was awful. Mirrors are so scary at night..all I can think of is Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary…

Answer #13

Me and my friends did that at a Halloween thing at our school and the lights started flickering and then the power went out. Kinda freaky O.o

Answer #14

More than kinda. :( now I’m scared…and no one to cuddle…

Answer #15

And now I’m sad :( darn…

Answer #16

Cuddle a pillow? And I didn’t mean to scare you! I’m sorry.

Answer #17

I can assure you that, if you cannot pee you could end up with kidney damage. Not being able to pee is a MAJOR MEDICAL EMERGENCY. I know: it happened to me some years ago and I was rushed to the local Medical Centre where one of the local Doctors was waiting. I spend several very uncomfortable days in hospital before being operated upon.

Answer #18

Awh don’t be sad!

Answer #19

I guess when my mom was pregnant with me I was on her bladder in a way to where she couldn’t pee, she had to go to the hospital and get a catheter and she had 2 liters of liquid inside her =/

Answer #20

One time when my friend and I went to Wichita two hours from home for my birthday she had to pee bad on the way home. My parents tried to hurry to somewhere she could go, but it was really late and out in the middle of nowhere! She tried so hard to hold it but she couldn’t. You could see that she was still trying to hold it in when it came pouring out. I felt so bad for her.

Answer #21

lol i tould guess a day max but i dont think ud explode youd just pee yourself surley :L:L:L
