How long should it take for employer to contact me?

I applied for a new a&w store that is opening soon near me, I did it online as they are not open yet, how long would it normally take for them to contact me?

Answer #1

Usually with an online process, the employer will let you know how long it’ll take within five business days. Also, if the store isn’t open yet…if the have the opening date posted, you know they’ll contact at least a week before opening, if they’re interested in hiring you.

Answer #2

as far as i can see, theres no date on their site, just ‘opening soon’, not sure if the constructions even finished.

but its been around 2 weeks and nothing yet, is this something to worrry about?

Answer #3

If the construction isn’t done, they clearly can’t hire you. I wouldn’t worry, in the meantime, certainly apply elsewhere…that way, if you do get the first job, you may have two choices, which usually will result in you getting a job you’re happier with.
