What has been going on in London recently?

As part of a police operation in Tottenham, police tried to arrest 29 year old Mark Duggan, Duggan was killed by a single shot to the chest after a police officer was reportedly shot and the police returned fire, implying Duggan shot the officer.

Duggans friends and family claimed he was unarmed and marched to Tottenham police station to demand an inquiry into the circumstances of his death and after a police chief inspector spoke with the crowd they demanded to see a higher ranking officer at which point two members of the crowd attacked two police cars and set them on fire.

As violence spread to other parts of London and other cities in England, Duggans family condemned the riots, saying that white his shooting was perhaps a trigger for the violence several other factors suggested the rioting was caused by other reasons, Duggans older brother issued a statement saying “We’re not condoning any kind of actions like that at all”

People have nothing to do so they think its ok to go around looting and causing havoc. Yesterday on the news the reporter asked a couple of guys why they are doing this and they start talking about the government making cuts. honestly i think they really don’t care about any of the cuts…one of them said this is the best protest ever.
