What's the plural of Lexus? Lexi or lexuses?

What’s the plural of lexus? (the car…)

Answer #1

I’m pretty sure its just Lexus as both singular and plural form :)

Answer #2

It’s just confusing. If you saw 3 lexus/lexuses/lexi/lexera, what would you say? A) There go 3 lexuses B) There go 3 lexus C) There go 3 lexi D) There go 3 lexera

Might just be what you feel more comfortable with. Might be none of them, might be all of them. I jut say Lexus for both.

Answer #3

Grammatically speaking, an apostrophe denotes possession, so Lexus as both singular and plural would be best; however, the plural form would be pronounced as follows: Lexus-es.

Add the apostrophe to show possession: the Lexus’ horsepower is more than the Camry’s.

Answer #4

There’s a lot of arguments as to what it should be - Lexi, Lexus, Lexera, or Lexuses . With Lexi and Lexera, both use latin arguments based on the root origin of the word. Which is fine, except for one thing - when used to describe the car, its no longer a word, but a name. Which rules both Lexi and Lexera out as the plural.

The Plural of a name is usually an ‘s’ on the end of the name. For example, a Ford Cortina has the plural Cortina’s, not Cortini or Cortinera. So, the plural of Lexus (the car) is Lexus’ (with the ‘ ) since you don’t add an ‘s’ to the end of a name that has an s at the end already (essentially “Lexuses” in the correct grammatical form).

Well, that’s the way I see it… any other ideas?
