Will lemon juice lighten my hair?
I used to have a dirty blonde hair color but now it is dark brown should I use lemon juice to lighten my hair or will it damage it and how can I get my hair lighter with out damaging it?
Lemon juice will be fine, just stay in the sunlight with it in. Make sure you keep track of the colour because it could definitely turn obscenely bright..
Lemon juice works, its a slow process. You can try a blow dryer to speed up the process.
I add a generous splash of vodka to increase the process. sometimes, if I get REALLY impatient, I give in and buy sun-in. I always ask myself what posessed me to do that when I finish, but my hair is something atrocious right now. I was blonde, had it professionally colored with DEMI (dont EVER get tricked into that one) had to retouch myself, the color turned more orange than before and I am now about to try every lemon/vodka/olive oil technique I can find
