Um… maybe four-wheel-driving with my dad? He’s not a very good four wheel driver, and we got bogged a few times, so I was really scared. It’s not exactly what you’re looking for, but thats the most out-of-comfort zone thing that I have done and enjoyed. It worked out to be one of the best weekends of my life. Britz

Decided to take the plunge and get divorced.

I never knew you could be truly happy with someone… I thought you just found someone you could live with for the rest of your life without murdering them.

When I was in 8th grade I got voted validictorian, I hated speeches though, typical student. But at the same time i felt proud so I went through with it. Im always stepping out of my comfort zone, its usually little things though. Things like sleeping over at my friends houses is even uncomfortable for me for some reason. Im weird like that.

I’ve been afraid of heights my whole life. I still am.

20 years ago I was with a group at an amusement park. Everyone else in the group was going this big (for its time) roller coaster with two loops. At first I thought that there was no way in Hell that I was going on that! I would have been really embarassed to be the only one in my group to be too chicken to ride it so I made myself ride it. It was a blast; sure I was afraid but my excitement overpowered my fear. Ever since I’ve been a fan of rollercoasters in spite of my fear of heights.

We moved our family to France and enrolled our sons in French school. I had to learn French more or less from scratch and my husband was exhausted, working in a French-speaking environment all day when his French was only so-so. We’ve all made a lot of improvements since then, and have learned more about France and its culture, and have made French friends (and others in the community of immigrants to the area). We constantly say ‘we would never have guessed we could do this’, and it makes us wonder what else we might be able to do in the future…

If you’ve left your comfort zone once, it’s easier to leave it again!
