Is it against the law for teachers to talk to parents about a student that isn't their child?

Yeah, one of my teachers is telling my friends parents that I’m a bad influence because i “wonder around” once! when i had to go to the bathroom and i didn’t go ask someone she called up my mom and told her i was “wandering around” and she knew the reason why i was crieng in the bathroom but still didn’t cut me some slack! And another reason because i curse! I called her the B word to her face like last year in the middle of the school year because she sent me to the office everyday because I laughed, broke my pencil, or I fell off my chair! But she’s telling everyones parents I’m bad making them not want there kids to asociate ith me.

While I think you and your parents should sit down with this teacher and work out your issues, I don’t think it’s against the law for her to talk about you. And even if she did send you to the office, calling her a b**ch to her face probably just worsened things for you. Honestly, you need to meet with her and come to some sort of understanding. Even if you think she’s in the wrong, she controls your grade.

I dont think its against the law but i do think its wrong for your teacher to be telling other people parents about you getting in trouble. i guess all you can do is try to behave so the teacher wont have anything to talk about.

No. But you should have been suspended for calling her a name. And you are a bad influence. So she’s not lying. I think this decade should be known as the decade of brats. You’re not 3. Grow up.

Well I dont Act like it. In fact, I asked to talk to her about it at Lunch. So at lunch i came into her room and she told me i was a good child and she never said that and all the kids try to get back at her cause they curse her out and tell her to go back to my old school and teach. I actually do my work. She told me my old school was old news. And i told her i was sorry for anything I ever did, as in name calling. And BTW i called her a B word two years ago. So thats old news and my past. I have all A’s and i get into NO what so trouble. She gave me a hug and told me the past is the past and all is forgiving….Sorry If that’s a bad influence..
