Does my teacher like me more than as a student?

Home More advice Education & School

I'm really attracted to one of my teachers; I'm a freshman in high school and he is somewhere in his 30's, doesn't have kids, never been married, but he has a girlfriend. Whenever I talk in front of everyone in class or whatever he avoids looking at me/make eye contact, but if it's just me and him he makes eye contact and holds it for a while. When I ask him a question during class and he's walking around, he comes and leans over close to me so our faces are about a foot or less apart. I notice him shy away from touching other students and try to avoid touching them in any form, but he's brushed up against me plenty of times. A few times he's stood veeeeeery close behind me while I was standing, does that mean anything or no? And when he hands back papers he always seems to let our hands brush against one another. Also, today we were doing an activity where we had to link arms and he joined in next to me (with nobody on his other side). He also takes notice to what I'm wearing (checks me out, gave me compliments a few times). I should be doing a lot worse in his class, but he gave me a fairly high grade, much higher than I thought I should have gotten. He talks to me like an equal, not like I'm a child. Am I reading too much into all of this, or do you think he likes me back? (PLEASE, do not tell me this is gross, illegal, I should report this, blahblahblah. I KNOW he could get fired and everything if I try to make a move or whatever, and I'm not going to. I'm just curious as to what you think. So please, save your/my time and don't write stuff like that! Thanks!)
